She got it

Recently, I have been watching "Weir Here" on Wed. eves. from 8:30 to 10:30. It streams live from www.tristudios.com.  This is some fine music every week.  Last Wednesday there was a female singer/musician named Leslie Mendelson and she did a rendition of "To Love Somebody" that was the best I've ever heard.

Video of the entire show is here  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hxvlGhc2aVM

The song begins at the 1hr 30 min. mark.

I Called Amy. "You must see this." She watched too. Meanwhile, in Seattle, Jenn, Andy, and Aidan were watching too. Later Jenn posted this video.

It hit me watching Jenn's video that the song meant so much more to her now. She is a relatively new Mom...15 mos.  And she got it. The feeling that comes with parenthood that "You don't know what it's like to love somebody, to love somebody, the way I love you." When she was expecting, I told her that there is no way to tell her how having kids makes you feel. No way. "You'll get it". Her filming him digging the music, that's when I knew, she got it. That beautiful song will always be special to her.

  4. We got it from you.
This is beautiful, Daddy. Thanks for always giving us every bit of love that you and Mom have. We aren't the luckiest girls in the world by accident, you know.
And, that Baby Boy is the best gift Baby Sis could ever have given all of us. That video tears me up, too.
    Love you all.
